277Designs was born from a life in the fire service.

After retiring due to a career-ending back injury, my husband—a firefighter—turned to sewing as a way to stay connected to the work and community he loved. What started during the COVID-19 pandemic making masks for others quickly became something more: a passion for creating meaningful, handcrafted pieces.

Today, we transform authentic retired firefighter gear into one-of-a-kind bags and accessories. Each piece is handmade, hand-cut, and built from real turnout gear that has seen the front lines—carrying its own history, character, and story.

No two items are ever the same.

For those who have their own gear, we also create custom pieces—turning personal equipment into lasting keepsakes that honor years of service and sacrifice.
